CR and CRCA coils and sheets
Cold rolled steel is HR that has been pickled and rolled again at room temperature, then annealed. It is thinner, flatter and closer on thickness than HR, with a bright, smooth surface ready for painting, plating or powder coating.

Grades and standards
- IS 513 CR1
- Commercial quality, for simple bending and general sheet-metal work.
- IS 513 CR2
- Drawing quality, for moderate pressing.
- IS 513 CR3
- Deep drawing quality.
- IS 513 CR4 and CR5
- Extra deep drawing. CR5 is interstitial-free steel for the most severe pressings.
